Thank you for visiting our website!
Lent is upon us. We felt spring coming. First, we have sneaky sunshine. Then, surprising snow. What is going on?
The weather seems rather like our nation these days – erratic, confused, searching. Who’s really in charge and does anyone care about one another---especially those Jesus prized --- the lowly, the lost, the poor, the abandoned, the hurting?
Let’s go back to Lent. I almost started preaching…um…meddling! We are at that forty day time of spiritual self-examination leading up to Easter. It is one of two such seasons of preparation and reflection, including Advent.
I encourage all of us to focus during these holy days. Take 30 minutes each week for the remainder of Lent to pray, read scripture or another special book, take a spiritual walk or hike, write a note to someone important, sit in the sunshine.
Many persons express that such reflective time can help us understand and interpret our confusing planet. My Aunt Dorothy celebrated her 95th birthday on March 7th. She is a constant source of inspiration and wisdom. I believe that observing Lent can also make us spiritually wise and mature.
I invite you to seek and use Lent in 2017 to increase your spiritual age. Come Sunday to our beautiful sanctuary at the center of our community to grow the center of your spiritual heart this year!

Children are invited to go to Children's Church after the Children's Moments in the worship service. In a unique worship space created just for them, children will be introduced to a child-friendly, discovery-oriented worship experience where they feel like they belong. With a Children's Church, we at Central are sending the message that we care enough about our children to have their own worship service. For more information, contact the church office.
